Emily Henrigillis has a background in aquatic ecology and taxonomy. She has worked on lakes in Wisconsin since 2011 completing surveys and getting to know the folks around those lakes. Her experience working with shoreline property owners led her down the path of starting The Plant Gal in 2021. Emily helps urban, suburban, and lakeshore property owners improve their landscape for the waters, our pollinators, and the future.
In her free time, Emily serves on the City of De Pere's Sustainability Commission, skates with Madison Roller Derby and Team Wisconsin Roller Derby, volunteers as a poll worker and at Heritage Hill State Park in their Tank Garden.
